Criminal Record Checks (CRC) – Coaches & Volunteers
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required for all coaches and volunteers prior to the start of the hockey season.
Important Information:
- Criminal Record Checks are valid for three (3) years.
- Coaches and volunteers can log in to their Spordle account to view the expiry date of their current CRC.
- Hockey Saskatchewan only accepts Criminal Record Checks completed through your local Police Service or RCMP Detachment.
- Online Criminal Record Checks are not accepted.
- A CRC request letter can be obtained by emailing emha@sasktel.net.

Important Hockey Saskatchewan Deadlines
December 15
- Final date for any team official to be added to or remain on a team roster.
- All required certifications must be in progress or completed by this date.
December 20
- Final date for all team officials to obtain the appropriate coaching certifications.
- Hockey Saskatchewan will assess a $50 fine per infraction to teams that do not meet certification requirements.
Respect in Sport
Please note that all current Respect in Sport – Activity Leader certifications appearing on your hockey qualifications will remain valid until May 31, 2028, at which time they will expire.
